Tsuzuri
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 October 2026
Tsuzuri ("the app") turns photos and scans into PDF documents. This policy explains what the app does with your information.
Your images and PDFs never leave your device unless you choose to share them yourself. The app has no user accounts and no analytics of its own. It is free because it shows ads, served by Google AdMob, which collects some device information as described below.
Information the app accesses
The app works only with content you actively select:
- Photos you choose. When you pick images from your library, the app reads only the specific images you select in order to place them into a PDF. It does not browse or index your photo library.
- Photos you capture. If you use the in-app camera, the photo you take is added to the document you are building.
Where your data is stored
Every PDF you create is written to the app's own private storage area on your device. Your build preferences (page size, margins, quality, theme) are stored locally on the device as well. Neither is uploaded anywhere, and neither is accessible to other apps.
Advertising
Tsuzuri shows ads using the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). To choose and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, the SDK may collect and send to Google:
- Your device's advertising ID (Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA)
- Approximate location derived from your IP address
- Device and app information such as model, operating system, language, and app version
- Interactions with ads, such as views and taps
Ads never have access to your photos or your PDFs. Google handles this data under its own policy; see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Your choices. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices. Anywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device's settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).
Information the app does not collect
- No name, email address, phone number, or account of any kind
- No precise (GPS) location data
- No usage analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting of its own
- No contacts, calendar, microphone, or audio data
Sharing and printing
When you tap Share or Print, the app hands the PDF to your device's own share sheet or print service so you can send it where you choose — email, cloud storage, a printer, or another app. That action is initiated by you and happens outside Tsuzuri. Once a file reaches another app or service, that app's own privacy policy applies to it. Tsuzuri does not send files anywhere on its own.
Permissions and why they exist
-
CAMERA— so you can photograph a page and add it to a document. Used only while you are actively taking a photo in the app. -
Photos / storage access— so you can choose existing images to convert, and so generated PDFs can be saved. -
INTERNETandACCESS_NETWORK_STATE— used to load ads. Creating PDFs needs no connection; the app works fully offline, just without ads. -
AD_ID— lets the ads SDK read the device's advertising ID, as described under Advertising.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and its ads are not configured for a child audience.
Deleting your data
You can delete any document from within the app, or remove all of them at once from Settings → Delete all documents. Uninstalling the app removes every document and setting it created. Tsuzuri keeps nothing on a server. For data Google collected through ads, use your device's advertising ID controls or Google My Ad Center.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with an updated date above. Material changes will be reflected before the behaviour they describe ships in the app.
